thinkingvisually

Hi, I'm Manu

I make things and write to figure out what I think.

Writing is still pretty new for me. I started because I kept having ideas that wouldn't leave me alone—patterns I noticed, frameworks that helped me make sense of things—and I wanted somewhere to put them.

I'm a visual learner. If I can't draw it or diagram it, I probably haven't understood it yet. That's why I build small tools—they're a way of thinking out loud. Sometimes making a thing is faster than explaining it.

I care a lot about keeping things human. Especially now, when everything moves so fast and AI can do so much. I think there's still something irreplaceable about the messy, slow, personal way humans make sense of the world.

Things I'm into right now

  • Frameworks for making decisions when you're stuck
  • How AI changes the way we think (not just what we do)
  • Small experiments that ask interesting questions
  • The gap between what we feel and what we can name

On building with AI

I'm a big believer in using AI tools to build things faster and better. Not as a replacement for thinking, but as a way to move from idea to reality without getting stuck in the execution weeds. Most of the tools on this site were built with AI assistance—because why wouldn't you use the best tools available?

The interesting work isn't in typing code character by character. It's in knowing what to build, for whom, and why. AI tools let you focus on that.

If something here resonated, or you're working on something interesting, I'd love to hear from you.
